The company’s beginnings date back to 1989 when the founder and Chairman, Simón García Taboada, with more than 25 years’ experience in the bio-health sector, built the Gartabo laboratories that were initially dedicated to packaging organic honey and manufacturing syrups from plant infusions.
Thanks to its location in the heart of Sierra de la Culebra (in the north of the province of Zamora), Laboratorios Gartabo was firmly committed to rural development based on natural local tradition from the moment it was incorporated.
Forerunners to a new concept of automation, the laboratories incorporated the first vial-filling line in Spain in 1994.
Today, Gartabo continues to evolve thanks to its cutting-edge technology, which enables the manufacture of the highest-quality products in liquid and powder format, permanently innovating through the development of new formulas, packaging and strict quality assurance.
